Scheduled Rebuild/Construction Projects
Overhead Rebuild Project in Limon
MVEA's contractor, Foothills Energy Services, Inc, will begin a project of rebuilding the existing overhead power line located in Limon, Colorado. This will be in the alley between A Avenue and G Avenue, and 2nd Street and 3rd Street during the next 6-8 weeks. This project will begin the first week of April 2012. Notifications will be made if a lengthy outage is required.
Underground Cable Replacement in the South Woodmoor Subdivision
MVEA's contractors, Foothills Energy Services, Inc. and High Country Directional Drilling will begin a project of replacing the underground electric cable located in a portion of the South Woodmoor Subdivision in Monument, Colorado. This project will begin in July 2011 and may last 20 months. Short outages may occur during the project as the crews replace the cable at certain connection points. Notifications will be made if a lengthy outage is required.
