Cool FREE trips for high school juniors!

Each year, MVEA sponsors an essay contest for high school juniors. The first place winner receives an all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. in June with other Colorado students from across the state. They will meet up with approximately 1500 high school juniors from coopertives across the U.S for a week of touring historical sites, meeting legislators and having a fantastic time in our nation's capital.

The second and third place winners will be invited to the Colorado Electric Education Institute's Youth Leadership Camp in Clark, Colorado, just outside Steamboat Springs, in July. Here they will join approximately 80 students from Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Wyoming to improve upon their leadership skills, set up and operate a cooperative, participate in legislative forums and enjoy a slew of activities set in the beautiful Colorado Rockies.
