The Mississippi Valley Equipment Association was founded in 1907 by a group of local implement retailers in an effort to form a unified voice for their industry. The Association has experienced many changes over its 90 years of existance and currently represents over 165 agricultural, outdoor power and industrial equipment retailers in Missouri and Illinois. The Mississippi Valley Association is a regional affiliate of theNorth American Equipment Dealers Association and has offices located in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Mississippi Valley Equipment Association provides members with a multitude of services designed to assist them in maintaining a profitable business operation. These services include the dissemination of management information and aids; providing educational opportunities; group health, property/casualty and workers compensation insurance; industry information; assistance with regulatory issues and legislative activities in Missouri, Illinois and Washington D.C. The Mississippi Valley Association provides members with a comprehensive array of dealer developed financial services including retail loan and lease programs and inventory financing programs. The Association also promotes and protects the interest of its members through a continuing manufacturer/supplier relations effort.

A major endeavor of the Mississippi Valley Association is the sponsorship and management of the St. Louis Farm & Power Show. The Show, the largest indoor agricultural and power equipment related show in the region, is held for the benefit of the Association's dealer-members, their customers and exhibiting companies.
